Axes de recherche

La thèse d’Eckehard Pistrick porte sur les chants de compagnie (dans le sens d’une expérience musicale socialement partagée) et ses multiples interprétations et instrumentalisations locales dans la construction des discours identitaires, dans la région transfrontalière entre l’Albanie et la Grèce. Le chant polyphonique est considéré ici comme un objet culturel chargé d’émotions et de significations souvent imposées, ambiguës et contradictoires. Sa recherche se focalise sur les chants d’émigration, constituant un répertoire « in-between » entre les lamentations (vajtim) définies rituellement et perçues comme désordre musical et les chants non rituels (këngë) associés avec l’ordre musical. Sa thèse cherche à discuter les liens entre une mémoire mythique et identitaire, des émotions socialement évoquées et une expérience vécue par les émigrés albanais en Italie et en Grèce. Cette approche prend également en compte les diverses stratégies des chanteurs qui se déploient à travers différents modèles la création du chant et son contenu émotionnel.
